  • Right or wrong, the fact of the matter is it was legal. Like the 1960’s a small number of people said the majority of people are wrong for passing laws denying blacks rights and privileges enjoyed by whites. A long hard fight followed before changes in the law were made.

  • Please know Solidstag that it was a U.S. Supreme Court Justice that made the statement that the law specks (sic) speaks the will of the people. The law in question for over 600 hundred years, not just in the U.S. but from around the world. This was it appears the social norm for over 600 years.

  • I have discovered while pursuing a criminal justice degree that all states have statutes that make sexual intercourse with a female who is not the wife of the perpetrator a criminal offense if the female is under the age stated by the state criminal code.
